PSA corrosion build up by OBD2 port

So I noticed when I plugged my OBD Scanner in my car, a bright green spot caught my eye and it turned out to be a massive build up of corrosion by a 3 wire ground connector. Check it out on your cars your 2G TL's could have corrosion build up in the same spot and might never notice. Never noticed this before but was probably building up for years.

Had to do a ghetto fix with electrical cleaning spray and a tooth brush to clean the corrosion.

Sprayed battery terminal protector to prevent the corrosion from coming back.

liquid spills(coffee, soda, water) over the years in that area would likely be the cause

Most likely since the early 2G TL's have shitty cup holders. It was a pain cleaning the centre consol after my mom gave me the car, coffee stains everywhere >.<

Just thought I'd let others know to check that ground connection before electrical problems happen, since the OBD port is covered so most people won't even notice it.

Yeah, it's a PIA. I got a 3ft OBD extension and mounted it next to the parking brake so I could keep my bluetooth OBD transmitter attached and still have the cubby in front of the shifter closed up.

The 99-02 model years did. The 03 models had it under the steering wheel.
