Hey man, his "back up" are all suckers too. They just think BMW is God of the Automobile. I wonder did he ever race with a TL or even CL-S. CLS is even faster then the 330 manul. And M3... I don't think NSX or even my S2000 will lose to it.

One of those suckers said ,

323i compare to TL , i chose the TL
325i compare to TL , i chose e-46

what the hell was this guy talking about , aren't they just the same guys switching names. correct me if i'm wrong but 323 uses 2.5 L engine , and so does 325.

So he's into the 3 series for it's performance and 5 speed...why didn't he get the 328? I wouldn't even look at the 323i. And the M3? Now we're talkin!

Let's face it guys, out TL's suck and the Beemers kicks a$$!

Just kidding, don't kill me guys!

Man, the dude has a 323i. I'd rather buy a bicycle than a 323. I consider 323 owners - "I want a 328 so bad but can't afford one so I'll just get the 323"
It's kinda like buying a Civic DX when he really wanted a Civic EX but had to settle for less and going on a Toyota forum and bashing the Corolla. "No offense, nice car but I got mine cheaper than the Corolla LE"

Was that corny?

I just joined this forum today.

I happen to own a 99 323i. I also just bought my lovely wife a 01 TL. I am saddened that we all do not have open minds. These two cars are completely different. (Compact vs a midsize.)

Each has its own strengths. The 323 will out handle the TL in the twisties, no question. The TL is soooo smooth, quiet and powerful. Neither is a POS!

I guess I am the luckiest one here, because I get to drive both cars. (Go ahead - I'm flame resistant.)

I haven't dynoed my TL yet, so I really can't comment on the performance gain. As for the sound, oh yeah, it is a wonderful powerful sound

Kudos Wes *g*

When Honda can equal the fit/finish in their cheap azz american shops of a BMW, then we can compete a little more for quality. But for Engine and Drivetrain, we're up there.

For what you say Smooth and Quiet.. that's what we get to give up handling and prowess.

Life is a compromise.
