P0730 code

Just got a scan code of p0730. Problem is Automatic Transmission is missing 4th gear. 1st, 2nd and 3rd are fine shifts nice but once it reaches 4th just revs. I had to use sport shift to get to 5th on the highway.

Changed the ATF and filter recently and overfilled a little over the top mark but other wise can`t think of any DIY fixes.

Rear motor mount is faulty but??

If the shift control solenoids looked clean, try checking the clutch pressure control solenoids as a last resort.
The hydraulic clutch pressure may need measured. Reset the PCM and see what happens.

Also, did ya use Honda DW1 fluid with the drain & fill ? Usually a bit more than 3 Qts. will refill at change.
Recheck the fluid level after driving it briskly up to operating temp, then check on a level surface with the car turned off.

Could it be that the 4th gear pressure switch is dead/malfunctioning irrespective of cleaning? There was a thread on these 3rd and 4th pressure switches a couple of years ago.
Another thing to check out is the solenoid screens....they may need cleaning.
And if you do a drain with DW-1, also replace that black cylindrical filter on top of the tranny right under the air intake.

I did a drain and fill about 6 weeks ago(dw-1) and replaced the filter also.

Also pulled some tranny fluid out it seems I overfilled the oil a little oved the top mark. Smelled and looked fine.

Solenoids are the cars trannys last hope.

If you can research the exact shift control solenoid for the 4th gear, it may be worth investing in a new part as Victus1 earlier mentioned.
Worth a shot !
