Outside temp gauge stuck...
Hello all. Just joined the club two weeks ago with a beautiful black/parch, no-nav. (note to self: must remember it's the wife's car) Anyway, her compartment hasn't pooped open yet (sorry), but the outside temp gauge is stuck reading 64. Obviously a trip to the dealer is in order, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I have not seen that posted before Sam. I have been on this board & the was other TL board for along time. I was on the old board for the TL back when they redesigned the TL for the 99 model.
I have never seen a post of a stuck one but a few with the reading slightly off.

I've had the same exact thing happen to my 02 TLS. It was a pretty warm day, mid 80's and my temp guage was stuck on 69 degrees F. Next day it worked like a charm. Very strange!

I don't think you can reset the thermo gauge. The reset button is for the trip odo.
In the summer, my gauge was stuck at 84 for a while. After reading the manual I think it said that the gauge does not change every second, it only changes after driving for a while, or something along those lines, based on the readings it gets from the 2 sensors (1 in the dash the other in the front of the car).
