Opinion on a Timken wheel bearing

Hi tomorrow I will be replacing my front driverside wheel bearing. I went to autozone to pick up the bearing today and they had a choice between a duralast or a timken wheel bearing, I choose the timken. I was wondering if anbody out there has had any expieriece with this brand. Good or bad.

Yup Timken or National both are Made in The USA so Great Brands for Bearings.

Duralast are made in China and they Got a Fine Warranty (BUT They Dont Cover the Labor in Replacing/Installing the Bearing Each time it goes Bad) And From China, they Will become Bad in No time.

We ONLY use Timken bearings on the baja car that I build with my school team. Never had a problem with them.

We put Timken bearings in mining shovels costing upwards of 30 million dollars here. They are one of the best. Another good bearing company is a German place called FAG, I shit you not. Sorry I'm immature but seeing cases stamp Fag still makes me laugh a little everytime.

Well, bearing is replaced and I am now in love with my TL once again! Thank you for all your responses. Funny thing is when I walked into the shop with my knuckle in one hand, and bearing in the other, the first thing the guy at the counter said was, "Glad to see you chose a Timken" lol. So from now on Timken will be my bearing of choice for all future applications.

Steering knuckle in one hand and Timken bearing in the other hand saved you a bunch of money.
The "Timken" choice will ensure that you won't have to be doing this job again !

Definetly. Only cost me 75 altogether. 35 for the bearing and 40 to have it pressed. Well worth it.
