What kind of noise? If its a creeking, squeaking type noise then you either have a tie rod problem or you need an allignment. Possibly its your universal joint, but unlikely. Check power steering fluid also, you may be low, but if it sounds really bad, bring it to the dealership you bought it from if thats an Acura dealership of course.

You need power steering fluid (genuine honda fluid only), you're P/S pump is broken and is resovoiring, you're belt is stripping and will soon break concluding in no power steering.
It could be any of these or all of these. Get it checked out.

Hey mine does that too! If its the noise I get, its not a constant groan when you turn the steering like your power steeing fluid is low. Its only when you 1st get in the car after it sits awhile and then you're backing out and turn the wheel it makes a 1-2 second groan and quits, only does it after you 1st get in. I thought about taking mine in under warranty but that usually means 2 or 3 trips back before everything is fixed correctly.

I had a problem where when I turned the wheel a horrible creaking sound would appear (sounded like babies being killed), it turned out to be a cracked bearing in my wheel.
If power steering isn't your problem then check out the wheel bearings...

I'm not so sure it could be the boot.
This can be either of this:
1) Weak pump: gotta get a new one...very unlikely
2) Your belts are stripped, about to break therefore they dont have enough torque/friction with the P/S pulley
3) You're low on P/S Fluid ==> Honda P/S fluid ONLY!!!
Or (what happened to me when i put the UR crank pulley => new belts)
4) You just got new Belts and they are squeaking, meaning you have to give them like 500-1000mi and they'll shut up.
Do you feel (slightly) a tremble in the wheel when this noise happens? is it a constant rubbery noise that goes louder when you tuen the wheel and decreases when you dont but its still there?
Hope this helps

If you own a high mileage TL, 99% chance it's your CV joints. All FWD cars experience this problem once the get around the 100k mark, it just varies per car. It's the stress on the front wheels doing all the pulling and steering. I'm not a mechanic and can't explain how it works to you, but I've owned FWD cars pretty much all my life and had to have all my cars serviced roughly around the same mileage time frame. Cost for this service obviously ranges. I had an old Corolla that only cost me $300 but I also had a Legend that cost me $600. I don't know what the cost would be for the TL but would only assume it's the latter cost since it is a more premium vehicle. That's my $.02, then again, it could be any of the other problems everyone else suggested. Definitely get it checked out though!

here is the question what is the actual sound? is it mechanical, does it sound like a moan or a thump? does it do it only while moving or when sitting still. we need something more than my car makes noise while turning left and right. is it from your steering wheel hitting the plastic cover? a little more discription is needed to the sound

I say CV boot or joint if its like a metallic kinda grinding sound. Well not really grinding, its hard to explain but if it sounds like a metallic kinda sound, its the boots or joint.

It could also be something loose in the steering column. My TL used to make an occasional metallic "click" when turning. Took it to the dealer and they said something was loose on the column and it was tighten under warranty... and it only took ONE DAY for them to figure it out. Grrrr

If it's under warranty, just bring it into the dealer, and make sure the sound can be reproduced.
If it's the same click coming from near your knees on the steering column, it probably is the same problem as mine. Something wasn't tighened and it would hit something else making the clicking sound when you steer.
Good luck.

My car pops when I turn the wheel.... I guess it is accident related, and I'm too tired to continue fighting with those assholes at the bodyshop. I just diagnosed my car with arthritis and I guess I'll get over it one day, or get it fixed when I win the lottery.

As for making strange noises... Does it make that noise when you turn and accelerate at the same time? On my other car, the transmission mount went bad, which caused the tranny to hang a little low, putting a lot of strain on the bearings. It made a horrible plasticky grinding noise when I turned right and accelerated at the same time. I ignored it when I shouldn't have, and the bearing shattered, and completely destroyed my tranny
