You hit the nail on the head.
They know that we're headed for a downturn in the economy so an increase in price is out of line.
My brochure is being mailed to me today and I can't wait to see it.

If all this is true, this would suck big time. I just got my car 9 weeks ago...

I doubt that they'll drop price from the 2001 to the 2002. They've already stated that prices should be similar, a slight increase is possible. The big change from the old TL platform made in Japan to the new TL on the world platform made in the US was the one ('98 to '99) that saw the huge price drop. Part of that was to gain more market share, and with them switching to the world platform and taking all the options away it allowed them to lower costs.

I know this does not help you in the USA, but I hear the 2002 TL is going to be $37,000 CDN. up from $36,000, and I know the TL-s will be $41,000 CDN.

I have to guess that the MSRP for the TL-S with navigation will be no more than $32,000 USD.

Wasn't there a big price drop between the '98 TL and '99? Maybe that is what we are seeing. I would think if they were jacking up the price they would announce it. That way they could clear the 01 inventory.

The post by Comp-time says the sticker for a Type-S w/Nav is $33,710 incl. dest.

Looks like a nominal increase and is great news. I picked up a brochure at the local dealer today.
