Saudade

I just bought this from a close relative. She bought it new in 2000. She just bought a 2017 TLX and decided to let her TL go. SoCal car!! It's got 221K, always been garaged, runs great, very clean. She had it regularly serviced by her local Acura dealer.

I've read plenty about the trans issues. She's never had any, maybe because she had it regularly serviced. Of course for an 18 year old car there are plenty of "small issues" to deal with.

One thing I plan to do is pull the linear solenoids off the trans and inspect/clean the screens. I've seen the YT vids so I'm not expecting any problems doing this. This will also give me a chance to clean this area of the engine compartment a bit better.

Aside from the usual fluids, brakes, etc, are there any other areas I should check unique to the TL? I've already replaced the dead hood lift struts and cabin air filters. Passed CA smog check.
