My First Acura... 2000 3.2 TL
Just picked up this 2000 TL. Transmission is getting fixed right now, but can't wait for her to get out of the shop.
Any suggestions on improvements?
Performance is nice, but I'm not a race car driver... Still, I like a nice ride. Truly, I'm looking to make it look GOOD and be a fun car to drive (inside and out).
Open to suggestions and advice.

3 bad things about this car...
1. The owner never recalled the transmission. The 2000 had an overheating problem. That is being fixed as we speak.
2. Although the rims look good in the picture. They've been scratched up from what appears to be parking to close to the curb.
3. The car has 200k miles. (that made me very nervous... but hey, it's in Acura)
Other than that... the car has been cared for. I haven't been able to find a crack anywhere in the leather and only 3 paint chips on the exterior.

Full can of seafoam with half tank of gas. Change the spark plugs with ngk iridium. Check motor mounts then get intake, header, and pulley and you will have plenty of power when you want it. Then get sway bars Front and rear for better handling and go from there. Also you can get a mdx wood grain steering wheel for about $100 or so off eBay to replace yours. Also check DIY section plenty of information and ideas in there

The wheels aren't curb rash. Mine has same wheels same problem. There's some coating put over the rims to protect them. As it ages it hardens and peels and cracks. It will look like curbage but it's just the rims. I'm considering sandblasting and powdercoating for mine or just making them my winter rims, throw some blizzaks on and upgrade my daily summer rims.

Nice looking ride!
If you continue to take as good a care of it as you do your front yard I know it will keep looking great!
First thing I would do is replace the steering wheel with the previously mentioned MDX wood grain from e-bay. You see and touch it all the time so it will make you feel so much better about your car!
