Fantastic job Midori,
I just started my motor swap yesterday and was double checking your pics to ensure I could in fact pull the motor and leave the trans in the car.... Hopefully tonight the blown motor is out...

pulling he motor out and not the trans is easy but getting it back here took a little bit of work. Have to be careful with the oil filter housing and the wires and ac lines on the passenger side to slide it in. It will hit the side of the frame rail a little bit but you'll just have to shimmy the motor and trans around to get them to fit and line back up together.

its an aftermarket kit, i might get one like that but for now im gonna stick with no lips lol. it will be super low once i get all that on there. and plus id have to buy more paint to finish the lips so it will stay stock for a while lol thx for looking out tho

Well as many of you previously said the trans was next to go and it's true lol the trans is gone but I plan to rebuild it myself, seems to be the cheapest alternative lol so again

the av6 was the plan but was planning on doing it at a later date, this trans was supposed to last till next year lol so I figure I will just rebuild since the av6 trans is around 1200ish lol and this rebuild will be around 350, and if it works hopefully I'll get a decent life out of it lol

And I would love to do a 6 speed swap but my wife's left knee is messed up and about to have another surgery and we need the daily to remain auto for now lol

Yes you are right Skirmich but it looks to me that there's two sets stacked in the bottom right. The kits I get have them like that as well.
If you have any questions while rebuilding let me know. I have done a few of these.

I'm having trouble getting the larger 34mm nuts off the shafts in the first cover but I'm getting a big impact tomoro to get them off so I hope that it works and that the rest of it goes smoothly lol

I'm in the process of doing the AV6 swap myself. Got everything undone and subframe dropped. I was able to crack open the seam between the trans and the engine, but I can't seem to get it to pull apart completely for it to drop. Am I missing something, tried with a pry bar and everything but I get scared because I don't wanna mess up the engine side. Any tips?

Yeah I've been taking my time lol, there is so much going on in this thing it's insane I have gotten a lot done but still have a ways to go, letting the clutch and friction disk soak in atf over night and come back to it tomoro after work then I should be able to put all the cases back together and get ready to reinstall in the car haha but well see what happens this week, still have to order a new torque converter as well but no biggy.
