Which motor mounts to buy?

I was going to order some replacement motor mounts on Amazon but noticed some bad reviews. Which brand motor mounts do you guys get? Go straight to the dealer?

There are good Ebay Packages that some users claimed they where as good as OEM without the price tag.

Here are some examples:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-2003-Acura-TL-3-2L-Front-Rear-Engine-Motor-Mount-Set-2PCS-Both-Hydraulic-/281163143070?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AAcura%7CModel%3ATL%7CYear%3A2002&hash=item4176a1179e&vxp=mtr

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1999-2003-ACURA-TL-3-2L-MOTOR-TRANS-MOUNT-KIT-5PCS-same-day-fast-shipping-/280893521876?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AAcura%7CModel%3ATL%7CYear%3A2002&hash=item41668effd4&vxp=mtr

But as far as an Specific Aftermarket Brand goes? I cant really tell.. Another option is Poly-Mounts but they are pricey and don't come with the Hydraulic Feature of OEM so they are naturally a little stiffy at idle which causes some un-wanted vibrations.

Had oem in mine very pricey if you go oem might as well get the XLR8.

Ditched the OEM and bought the beck arnleys from rock auto front, side and rear. No complaints here.

Caution: When it comes to motor mounts stay away from the OEM ones also don`t by cheap you will regret it. IMO.

So, the Becks or XLR8.

Thanks, I see the eBay listing is for DEA brand, which I found on Amazon. Only the right front mount seemed to get some bad reviews:

Amazon.com: DEA A6552 Front Right Motor Mount: Automotive Amazon.com: DEA A6552 Front Right Motor Mount: Automotive

How does this brand compare to Becks? I'd like to stay with the hydraulic type.

If you're basing your purchase on "reviews", you can mix and match brands to suit your budget. Are ya capable of "DIY" installation of the mounts ? The labor is the biggest factor when it comes to the final costs involved.

The entire set of aftermarket mounts can be purchased for considerably less than OEM parts and are comparable in durability. It's best to compare pricing and features such as vac-assist soft ride or XLR8 solid performance.

What are ya looking for in ride quality ? Dealer's OEM mounts are expensive......there's better choices, IMO.

That one when I removed it fell apart in a few pieces. I would do the Becks for the front, side and rear.

Note: The dea only lasted me 6 months. Especially the front and side replace at the same time. Install the front first and then the side. The side is easy, the front will take some time if you are doing it for the first time. Follow the directions in the DIY section and lube up the bolts with some PB Blaster the night before.

I have the DEA front and side mounts in now for about 18 months and about 18k miles. They seem to be holding up fine

Just looking for a smooth ride. I'm going to do them myself but am only a bit worried about the rear mount. I've done brakes/struts/spark plugs/etc on cars before but never motor mounts. I have an impact wrench and extensions/u-joints which I assume will come in handy for this.

I did a rear mount on a 3rd gen TL and the difference was night and day between the DEA and OEM (yes I had to do the job 3 times) When I pulled out the dea mount after 20 days of use it looked like the rubber was deforming.

The best alternative would be the Beck and Arnley like Nicks2001tl mentioned.

Not familiar with this part specifically for brands, as I went with xlr8 mounts, but I'd get beck and arnley, and stay away from dea and anchor from what I've seen of the brands.

If you're looking for a more durable engine mount I would consider our XLR8 motor mounts.

OEM means from the dealer? I have a 1999 model. This will be the first time I change out the mounts...Am wondering which to purchase.
