Wipers not consistently sweeping the entire windshield?
Hi All. I've noticed over the last week or so that my PIAA beam blades are not always traveling fully and not always parking fully; they are sometimes up to 2 inches off of the full throw of the wipers. Of course, this is on a fully cleaned and wet windshield.
If I pull the stick in hard to manually wipe the windshield (this makes it go full speed), it has a much better chance of making the full sweep of the window (though I think it sometimes goes too far then and bangs).
When the blades are parked, I can easily move the top tip of both blades simultaneously in and arc of about 3 inches - that is how much play I have.
I don't remember what the normal play should be. Since both blades move at the same time, the splines aren't an issue.
Could the linkage assembly be worn or is the motor tired?

It's most likely wiper linkage. There are two pieces with nylon caps at each end that get real loose at the ends. There's a diy on here somewhere with part #s, and pictures, if I remember correctly.

your "play" is not normal. I can't move mine at all. I can't stand how acura downgraded their oem wiper blades and I have been going with the latitudes by rain x and they suck in about a couple of months. Has anyone tried using the tsx blades on the 2nd gen TL
