Just picked up my gem of a 02 tl (few questions)

Was looking for a cheap commuter and stumbled on this steal. 02 tl 117k Great looking from a couple feet away, very clean. Interior is insanely clean. Everything works perfect. Tranny even shifted great on test drive. Bought it from a rich indian dude on craigslist. All maintenance done at dealer based on schedule!!! He said he had the timing belt done at 94k, i asked if he could send me the paper work for the t belt replacement. He sends me a pic of a invoice for a trans rebuild t belt water pump and tensioner!!! I was so freaking happy. Not sure why he didnt mention the rebuild as i think its a selling point.
So he was asking 3000 which was more than fair...got him down to 2675!

Questions, at first tip in of the throttle from a dead stop i really have to feather the throttle with my foot to make it not take off pretty hard. Is there something i can adjust or look into so its more of a gradual throttle applied? (motor mounts "seem" ok)
Other question is of course she's got a flickering bulb but i think i've done enough research to figure that out. If anybody wants to recommend a aftermarket plug and play or easy splice option for the ballast and igniter go for it as i know its not the bulb.
Also is there anything i could or should do to maximize gas mileage (under hood maintenance stuff)?

Congrats on the TL. Regarding the headlight, I had to do this a year ago and did the following so I didn't have to cut up any wires:

I used this adapter:
OE Ballast > 9006 Adapters - Accessories - Components
The Mitsubishi one.

this cheap ballast off Amazon:
Amazon Amazon

And this bulb connector:

Well after switching bulbs then pulling the bumper...which then lead to replacing all the rusty hardware that broke and replacing all the clips that needed replaced. I was able to swap ballasts and nothing then I swapped igniters, nothing. I did notice the high beam also didn't work. So I put her back together assuming it was the headlight control module I heard that goes bad under the dash. Then I remembered..check the fuse!!! BOOM bad fuse!!! Best day ever lol , light worked!!! Then I took her on her first two hour straight trip with the AC on. A little stop and go in some heat and not a hiccup! I love this car, def got a steal.

Awesome find, welcome to the club!
This will probably be the only car you'll ever need if you take good care of it!

That looks really good. The interior is a little rough but nothing that is difficult to fix.
