How much did you pay for a repaint on your Front & Back Bumpers?
So, i just recently hit 80K on my 99-TLp. Still running strong. But, my front bumper has taken a beating from all the highway driving that i do. Not to mention that my car was bought from carmax, and what i apparently have learned now but didnt know back then is that carmax takes any car that they buy and repaints the front bumpers on all there cars. Reason why is because they believe that the first thing people look at is the front bumper when they go to buy a car and so if they can have it looking freshly painted, the car is more likely to look apealing and be sold. Anyways, well it looks like the paint that carmax painted my bumpers with is shitty because ive had the car now for 2.5 years and the paint on the front bumper is already flaking off and just pealing right off. It nicks so easily from the tiniest road debri and now my bumper looks like shit. OH and the paint they used deff does not match the rest of the car or my side skirts. Its like a regular silver. My resolution to this is to just get my entire front bumper and lip repainted as well as my back bumper and lip.
I wanted to know if there is anyone else on here that has had there front and back bumpers with both front and back lips repainted and how much did it cost you???? I want to make sure that when i get some estimates that im not being quoted waaayyy too much for a repaint on them.

i wouldnt pay any thing more than the paint (roughly 45 bucks) and do it myself
Id say 3-700 would be a fair estimate depending on the shop and amount of labor involved

I got my front painted for ~450.... It was such a rip and now I got white rock chips. This was including the lip, which i didn't ask them to do.... But.. the mechanic was nice enough to just charge 550 for the paint, adding the camber kit, and an alignment.
My ex-gf went to lexus and they said they could do any car for ~290 I think. But thats not including the lip.

I'm getting my mud guard damage for the front fenders and my entire rear bumper repainted for $180! Then I can finally install my OE lip kit. This guy does excellent work, isn't sloppy, and guarantees his work. He repaired my sister's 99 VW Passat and I swear you'd never know it was hit. Not a speck of over spray anywhere!

BTW, I had lunch with Noah Herron the other week. He was in town for physical therapy and strength training. I made sure we took my TL and not his shitty rental to McAlisters...

I'm also interested in quotes. Someone did the same halfass job with a spray gun on mine back when I bought it in 04. They used cheap stuff and didn't put flex-additive in the paint so it has crack lines in it and is peeling. Might as well get them re-painted since I'll keep the car awhile.

This is the CRAP PAINT im talkin about. Here is the worst of whats peelin and chippin away off my front bumper.
Now the photo below this is what i was talking about how the paint that carmax from what i learned, painted the bumpers with does not match the actual body of the car's paint.
You can clearly see the color of the rear bumper which is the bottom portion of that line there which is REGULAR SILVER LOOK and the top portion above that line is the body of the car which is satin silver color.
