Question High Beam (9005 bulb) wattage

Hey everyone. I posted here earlier last week about installing blue fog light bulbs....after it being a success (it really rocks!), i want to install blue high beam lights (9005). Do you guys know what the stock wattage is on the stock bulb? I'd appreciate it.

The stock wattage is 51W. I'm currently selling my solaris bulbs, they're 65W and are a perfect match to the HIDs. Let me know if you're interested. Brand new they are $80+

100W looks good, but wont they be a problem since the stock is 60W?

I've had the same bulbs since March 2002.

Most people don't use the high beams too often so I don't think that higher wattage will be a problem. Unlike the fog lights which are usually on for a lot longer.

BXSIG, speakin of fogs, i just installed 4700k PIAAs in my fogs....there's a little bit of condensation building up in the housing when they're being washed and are off....is there a fix for that?....could that dramatically affect bulb life? Thanks.

After I put in the aftermarket ones, I got no fogging until like 2 months later. It started building up and eventually got kinda bad. I wasnt sure if it affected the bulb life or the bulbs just sucked to begin with. I took it to the dealer and they replaced it after MUCH hassle.

Try to do this, leave them in the house open over night or so or even a few days and then put it back in later.

100w High beams wont be a problem as long as you dont intend on using them for any length of time. If you only use them for flashing to pass or a warning you will be ok. But running with them on they will eventually lead to burnt sockets and maybe wires burning up.
