nope and there are quite a lot of threads about this. please search. all you need to do is open a screw, take off a cap, remove socket from bulb, open retaining clip and take out bulb. reverse steps for installation.

Nothing to cut as long as you get the correct bulb. But why 8K? You are going to loose visibility

no,,not about personal syle in the least
some like to see the road in front of them,,to avoid obstacles
rather than an allegged ~look of cool~ to others
more than 6000k is a total waste
many of us were on 6000 and went to 5000!!
stock was 4300

options on diy are thru the back,, with housing installed in car
requires moving some other parts and working blind with that all important retainer clip
or
pop the nose off the car
remove light housings from car and work on bench,, where you can see what you are doing
maybe clean and polish the lens exterior while its off the car

This is a Honest question. Why is Blue Cool? It does NOT help you see better. Im sure most would agree, they would like you to see kids and themselves at night. You do loose a lot of useable light with 8k. Especially in the wet.

i have experimented with all colour tempratures. once you go over 4300k, brightness drops dramatically.
10,000k
just horrible. specially stupid with yellow fogs.
8000k
surprisingly same brightness as 6000k. nice vibrant blue. horrible in rain.
6000k
philips ultinon. the worst, did not look too different from oem and had poor output.
4300k
philips 85126. simply the best. high output and looks white colour.
best combo oem low and 6000k fogs.

i do NOT think anyone said "hey dumbass don't do 8000k bulbs, its not bright". we just shared our experience and you should be thankful. 8000k are for looks more than for functionality. When i had it on, it attracted unwanted attention, specially from ricers and even worst...cops. i have 4300k on all my cars and very happy. plus 8000k is not that blue, it is more green (cyan) than you think. 10,000k is blue.
