Help me diagnose this symptom

A while ago, and just recently, I noticed that my car shudders just a bit when I was driving on I-5. I came out of the express at 60 something mph, I might have released the gas pedal just a bit, before applying further pressure, and just as I was pressuring hte pedal, I felt the car/engine/tranny shudder a slight second before it accelerate. The closest comparison I could make is if you were to be experience a slow shiver, or when you try to swallow nothing.
I know it's hard to describe, but with the tranny issue looming, I can't help but feel worried. I've felt it two times this week. The last time was last year...

Thanks for any suggestions.

If you almost feel a "shift" in the engine or gas pedal, could be a motor mount is fried.

I tend to think it just might be the car trying to find the right gear between 4/5 when you dip off the throttle. Mine has always done that, albeit a bit slower 45/50mph with the old tranny, around 50/55mph with the new one. It's a slight shudder as if the car is deciding to downshift-briefly engages-then goes back to 5th with a little tip in with the throttle again...

Completely normal.
I believe that would be the torque converter locking back in. On some of our cars the torque converter lockup will cause a slight shudder, which the tech tells me is very common. No need to worry, your transmission should be fine.
