Has anyone had to cut the opening for the rear turn signals (led)?

Hey aziners, so today i got my rear led hyperwhite turn signals, i was surprised they came all the way from china as i didnt know that (just ordered them from ebay). Anyways there the 36 led ones. and i check them to see if they work, there fine, go to put them in and there too big. i had to take a knife and keep circuling it arund and cut alot of the hole off. Has anyone else has this problem? i had a 99 and i was just wondering i was expecting it to fit perfect obviously lol

putting the front led's in this weekend hopefully they will fit perfect haha

I wonder if you can be ticketed for blinkers that attract too much attention! Seems like it should be encouraged...

When i had those with my 02/03 Model. They would actually blind people. Like. I had a friend who said his eyes started hurting from the bright blinking white led. So i'm using amber. i suggest not using it. Can be a road hazard to some. Oh and, i always thought white blinking was ricer. Maybe cuz i see so many in Los Angeles

I thought our rear turn signals are 1156's, not 7443's...

You will get ticketed for those, turn signals legally have to be amber in color.

yeah its a 99, but i have the DEPO 02+ tails which is basically plug and play. and i know the white is illegal. but if there not outrageously bright, i dont think they would care. so my question is can i like pop/break etc. some of the LED's on there?

Here are the pics, they showed up rather blue for some reason? they are more white but you get the idea, the last two are off the front ones (12-LED)

also check out other pics of my car and lmk what you think!

this may be noob-ish but what does putting a relay do? make them less bright? and also noted the front ones really arnt that bright with the HID's on so its the back ones that are ridicolous lol

a relay will slow down the speed of which the turn signal blinks.
