yes they have a speed limiter, based on tire speed rating at time of manufacture
ie: may be 120-130mph depending on tire size/make for that model/year

then you get an ignition cutout until speed reduced

I've gotten my TL to about 149ish MPH on empty fwy at night.
Takes a while to get there and its a bit scary, dont recommend going that fast, but when I hit that it felt like it could still keep pushing for more speed, but you do feel the ignition cut out at this point.

Accelerator doesn't respond to led foot at a certain point

Lmao.. solid yes.
I was also riding on some cheap sunny tires which felt like any little groove or pebble in the road would throw me into the center divider lol.

Got to 130mph. I wanted to find out what the limiter was, but some motorcycle cop got in the way. Good to know it's 149.

You think the tracks have a stretch that far? I don't think a stock TL could get to 149 without a ridiculously long stretch of road.

I was 17, he let me go with a speeding ticket of "85+mph" so it was still considered a civil moving violation. Took a class and completely erased it.

I've seen a youtube video of a 3g tl get to 149. Has anyone removed the limiter, and broke 150?

I thought the fuel cutoff was at 147 since our V-rated tires are set for 149?

I wanted to see if I can break the 150 barrier with the turbocharger and AEM ECU, but things change. I'm sure it can be done, just make sure your tires are rated for it.

You will far exceed the 150 with a turbo (as long as you can get rid of the limiter) They way mine hits the limiter i highly believe 165 is possible (though the 6 speed gearing is much better for this)

Perhaps Not only the Joy that he could exceed the limiter! But the Time it takes to get there will be much much lower < I like That... Fuck Top Speed!
