Gearbox Makes Excessive Noises! Normal?
Is this normal?
I purchased a brand new '03 TL-S on May 24, 2002. Currently, it has accumulated 817 miles (I have another car, that's why it's kind of low in mileage.)
Example: The car is in PARK. Ignition on and slowly put it into D5, all the while it makes these loud noises!!! I just don't understand, is this normal?!? These abrupt noises could be heard by anyone inside the car as it passes on from PARK to D5.
Yes, I take extreme care of my car. So, is there a problem with my car or is this normal to anyone that is driving a '03 TL-S?

I am not sure about the TL-S but when I first got my 2000TL over 2years ago. The shift from park to Reverse had hard a clunking sound & feel as time went on the sound went away. This did it for about 3 months.
