First Mod - Fog bulbs & Switch mod
Just finished my first mod. Swapped bulbs with the Sylvania SilverStars and rewired the fogs.
A couple of comments...I followed the instructions from the FAQ for rewiring the fogs. I couldn't get the switch out from the dash as instructed. It said to reach around and squeeze the top and bottom of the switch and push it out forward. Couldn't do it! Anyone with big hands will definitely will not be able to get thier hands in there. I used a small tipped but long shafted screwdriver to push the little tab on the wiring harness and pulled the wiring harness out from the switch. It came out pretty easily. Popped on the in-line connector and I was done. If it wasn't for the extra time spent trying to get that switch out I would have been done in 20 - 30 minutes.
Swapping the bulbs was a piece of cake...remove one bolt, tapped on the back of the lens housing and it came right out.
Took a couple of pics with 1 OEM bulb and 1 SilverStar. See if you can tell which one is which.
The pic of my car with its lights shinning on the garage makes it pretty obvious for those that want to see the difference. Also by the way, I don't think it's that much of an improvement as far as brightness and "whiteness" is concerned but an improvement nonetheless. Here's the pics....

had to put the links in instead of the actual pic. First time posting pics....what's the secret?

Yep, there's no substitute for real HIDs, but I think the Silverstars are a good compromise for halogens. And yes, getting the switch out can be a little tricky. I've got bigs hands myself so that's why I took the extra step of loosening the dash bracket and popping the panel partially loose--gives you a little more room to work in there. Glad you like the mod, though.

I had some Hiper Industries bulb but one of them blew out so I switched them with the Silverstars. I hear a lot of good things about them but they look like the stock bulbs to me. Nothing like the pics people have posted. Any idea why?
