Finally started ordering parts for the swap**work starts pg 9**

Got my first piece in today

03 CL-S cuphodler $37.00 (shipped) off eBay. It's a little dirty but I'm going to take it apart and clean it real good.
There was still a piece of broken glass in it

Also have a shift boot on the way. I'm going to reuse the stock knob for now.

I'm about to put in my order with acuraautomotiveparts.org for all the other stuff I need besides the trans itself.

instead of buying parts from acuraautomotiveparts.org try oemacuraparts.com.

they have the cheapest price+shipping on parts that i have found. comparing all the acura parts sites and honda parts sites. even cheaper than dealer with shipping and not calculating the cost of gas or tax!

for example, im buying a few nuts and bolts and im saving a few dollars and its being delivered to my door

just trying to help you save much dollars

Dude. acuraoemparts.com (Delray Acura) They're not far from miami, so it's next day shipping. LOL That's what I did.. no need to wait a week at all. They're cheap too. Remember, if you need help with the swap, it'll take literally 1-2 days if we were to work straight without breaks.

if you need to know about the clutch pedal assembly, remmeber, you can use the assemblies from an old civic, rsx, or cl from what I know so far. You can modify the brake pedal as well for the new rubber sleeve that fits over it (for the 6-speed). If needed, I have a parts list you've probably seen before, but it gives you more options of different parts than the standard list you see here.

Yea I meant to ask in my original post about the cheapest place to get the OEM parts. I'll add everything up there and see what it comes out to be. The shipping doesn't really matter if it takes a little while b/c I still need to order the tranny and work out with you when we are going to try and do everything.

I posted on the module thread and he (Richie) said he didn't know if the AV6 or TL module would work since mine is the 99 4 spd.

I don't mind running in "limp" mode for a while though. It is probably a good thing so I can break in the new clutch and flywheel properly.

And I didn't mention that I am keeping the TL-P motor so it will be even less work. Just bolting up the tranny and everything on the inside.

My complete parts list:

03 CLs-6 speed manual
03 CLs-6 Flywheel 22105-PGE-305
03 CLs-6 Clutch Assembly 22105-PGE-305 (unfortunately right now there aren’t many options for aftermarket clutches) - $223 (for clutch and flywheel)
03 CLs-6 Flywheel bolts (Qty 8) 90011-PGE-000 - $2.08 x 8 = $16.64
03 CLs-6 Shifter and cables. 54100-S3M-A01 - $59.03, 54310-S3M-A01 - $109.49
03 CLs-6 Gauges
03 CLs-6 Hydraulic Clutch lines. 46960-S3M-A01 - $4.31, & 46970-S3M-A01 - $6.40
03 CLs-6 Trans mounts (2 of them) 50806-S3M-A03 - $37.89, 50805-S3M-A03 - $26.79
03 CLs-6 Cup Holder 77230-S3M-A01ZA - $81.80 – eBay - $37.00
03 CLs-6 Parking brake 47105-S3M-A04ZA - $47.33 and to go with it,
Spring 47537-671-670 - $1.29, Nut 47522-594-000 - $0.73, Equalizer pin 47365-538-000 - $0.47, Equalizer 47360-SB2-000 - $1.36
BRAKE PEDAL ASSY 46600-S3M-A51 - $51.26
If you decide to buy it new you will need the pedal and mount CLUTCH PEDAL 46910-S3M-A01 - $46.80 & CLUTCH PEDAL BRACKET 46990-S84-A01 - $18.98
MASTER CYLINDER ASSY 46922-S3M-A01 - $52.58 & Clutch Fluid Tank 46965-S5A-013 - $14.61, & Clutch Hose 46961-S3M-A02 - $20.49
Shift Boot 83414-S3M-A01ZA - $91.61 – eBay - $11.94
Shift Knob 54102-SL0-023ZB - $161.25 – reuse stock
Headers – reuse XS

Richie's Module ~$700

After I add everything up on that list it's right around what the dealer wanted for the new auto tranny

Thanks for the link

I just tried it out and though the items are a few dollars cheaper each, they charge $45 more for shipping the same items (other one charges $21 and it charges $66).

My site's a total of $18 cheaper

I'm reusing the XS headers I already have on there. They have the notch and will fit the CL-S trans.

I used them when i started but they were much slower to ship. I would get my parts damn near next day to the day after with acuraautomotiveparts.org and that was coming from georgia to wisconsin

This isnt something you make a DIY of. Its not like installing a CAI. If you really need a step by step DIY you shouldnt be doing it.

I broke alot of it down for every one, included part#s and pics. And i also stated that if you were honestly attempting it and ran into issues i would help out as much as possible (via PM or a thread on it)

I am interested in changing out the handbrake set up as the CL-S 6 has, having the parking break on the floor is :theghey:. I would love to switch out the center console just for the handbrake...

That probably wouldn't be hard at all. Just get the center console/cupholder and everything that goes with the parking brake. I hate how the e-brake is down there too

I don't have school or work tomorrow so I'll be here all day. Knowing my luck, I'll sleep through the knocking (I'm upstairs away from the door) and have to go pick it up after I wake up.

770 shipped w/out the clutch pedal bracket

+

50 for cupholders and shift boot
1200 + shipping for trans
700 for module to trick trans

2740 w/out the shipping on trans. Ends up being a few hundred more than the dealer wanted for the new auto trans .

$229.98

I know I probably could've got some of the parts used, but I would rather spend just a little extra for peace of mind. This way I know everything will work. The only parts I was really looking at to get used were the pedals.
