Engine Jerking From 4th To 5th Gear

In the begining, i thought it was "slipping," but someone straightened that up with me. But now i notice that the engine jerks more than it used to from 4th to 5th. Engine mount problem? How much to replace if it is?

Arent you driving a 02 still under the factory warranty on the transmssion?

If not sure call acura care at 1 800 382 2238 x 5 and ask- have your vin number in hand

On the acura.com website there is a list of what are syptoms and what are normal.

For instance, slightly harder shifting for a few minutes when cold is actually a design feature! Go Figure

My TL started having slight sypmtoms of slipping under extreme test conditions, then 2nd wasnt great, then the D5 light flashed getting on the freeway and ptttt new transmission

IF IF IF your car needs a motor mount- not uncommon on these cars, the front should be about 120$ part and 30$ labor the side mount is about 30 and 30 I think, mine only needed the front====I am talking about price on labor --ONLY if done WITH transmission --swap- otherwise its much more

Well just because it was supposedly fixed doesnt mean it is in normal operation.
And
No, they done make bushing inserts for the mounts

Very doubtful it's a mount. You feel mounts more when intially shifting the car, and in the lower gears (because the torque on the engine/transmission is greater). If the 4-5 shift is the only hard one, you probably have transmission problems.

Sorry it's not better news.

Call the dealer saturday- maybe service is open and you can get an appointment for Monday
Otherwise just show up on their door Monday, ask for a loaner car and be done with it

Get it in Monday for the seat heaters to get fixed under the 4/50 warranty that covers all

IF IF IF a motor mount is bad- the 4/50 should cover that too
Transmission is a special warranty that goes to 7 years 100 thousand or 109 depending about the court decision

Most likely, and you can find this out on by registering your car on acura.com ownership experience, the oil jet spray bar recall was done on your car.

Not same as transmission failure at the clutch packs!!!!!!!!!!!! Which is a warranty not recall

Online it will say if new trans installed or it will say oil spray bar- completed

Your car has issues - get it in before they become your problems too!

the 6/04 were for the oil jet- it was a RECALL

The trans is an extended factory warranty - CALL Acura Customer Service at
1-800-382-2238 x 5 and ask
Who exactly told you that you are not part of the vin's covered by the 100K trans warranty?
I dont know the cutoff vin number- but with the ongoing probs I would always ask
