If said car with full ashtray is for sale, i might be interested if the price is right.

I have a friend that empties ashtrays for cheap and I might be able to turn a profit. Let me know!

lol, it took 15 people to try to change my bulobs during a mini meet. Nobody knew how to do it and I ended up doing it completely the wrong way. I learned the right way eventually lol.

My spoiler has lights on it, and it's very distracting. I'm selling my car for one that does not have lights on the spoiler.

I have an 03 TL. replaced inverter in January $700 with install at dealer. Last week took car thru carwash. water got inside headlamp cover. no headlight. i'll bet its the dam inverter again. local repair guy won't touch it due to high voltage warning. This is getting ridiculous. will be $1500 to have a headlamp. any alternative to another dealer fix?

~100+ish (150) can get you a 3rd party kit installed buy some shop kid.
Myself, i would buy a replacement ebay kit (too expensive vendor shipping to where i live) that has good reviews, and install it myself, i totaled it to ~50$cdn

If you want to go more ^end, you can get a motorcycle balast kit (smaller) and have it installed, you just need to order the correct size bulb to replace the original
Motorcycle hid kits typically have extra weatherproofing measures.
Thats optional though, i would prob only use them for fog lights.
and seal off the old balast location with silicone.
im sure if you look hard you can find a capable inexpensive person to do this for you.

Everyone else? thoughts?

Maybe part/labor has a warranty, esp. since you had the dealer do it- save receipt? There's this: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...llast+inverter

Go aftermarket if those suggestions don't work, install yourself and save $$.

The Phillips OEM HID low beams that come with the car are expensive, but will last longer than any Halogen. When it came time to replace my low beams on 00TL I bought some cheap e-bay replacements, looked cool for a few months with good light output. After a few months they began to dim and change color to a deeper blue to purple. About 5 months they were totally useless, they still worked and had an interesting color but pointless as headlights. After someone backed into me my insurance coverd the cost of a new bumper fender and a headlight with new bulbs from acura. Holy $#!! now I know the true power of HIDs, Too bad only one headlight got damaged, Now i have one good headlight and one dark blue one, lol. So I definitly think it would be worth it to shell out $ for OEM bulbs, which i'll be doing unless i can find another phillips orsam dealer

You just have to make sure you DISCONNECT THE BATTERY otherwise you can kill yourself and follow the easy instructions and you don't have to take the wheels off or remove the bumper. I just bought some 30000k Brilliant blue D2S bulbs and they look awesome. Far better improvement. The whole process takes about an hour. Plan to do a HID high beam fog light conversion here pretty soon.

Isn't 30k in the infra-red light spectrum?!?!?

JK.

I have never seen any HID light bulbs rated that high.

Well, just sold my 95 Honda Accord and picked up a 2002 Acura 3.2TL the other day...and i found out about this headlight/lamp first hand after a car wash.

Needless to say, i've never really done much electrical work on vehicles, (i've really only dabbled into intakes, CV joints, tie-rods) and after reading some posts i think it doesnt sound to bad.

I wanted to grab some opinions about the following products:
