ok. got some measurements
09 tl sh awd intake manifold comes in at 4" tall
2nd gen tl-s/cl-s intake manifold comes in at 4 5/8" tall.

so u might be able to get away with the 09 tl manifold and not raise the hood. i know that the tl-p/cl-p owners can add the spacer and not have to worry about changing anything else.

and this is why i made those dimples in the spacer

Dropped the frame some with some slugs and milled it. I still would rather use the Thermoblock spacers but it came with the engine and it was free.

I still have the 09 TL manifold just waiting to be put on.

sweet..., but first of all it was setup for a c-series motor, and not our j-series (which BTW is smaller between the heads, due to the smaller angle of the banks), so i highly dought (sp?) it would even come close to fitting, with out a MAJOR reworking of it

and $4900, is WAY overpriced by my book, something like 2k probably be more realistic for something like that

doubt

yup. diff angle of heads.

itb for k series are around 2k+. so the price isnt that far off. but since its for an nsx, automatic price bump for no good reason

even let's say $500 per TB (2000/4 [for the k-series]) x 6 is still only $3000, but yeah they seem to like to bump the price up just because it's a NSX (figuring the owners have money to burn)
so 3k would even be acceptable by me

BTW thanks for the spelling , as said, i knew it was wrong, just could not think of the right way

So with the 3.7 mani and this spacer, you think I could just get away with just some cutting?? And the 3.7 mani showed better gains than the P2R plenums, didnt it?

should not have too, but also depends on if you upgrade your tb or not (and just use the P2R adapter with your stock TB)(the VSA tb adapter may not fit over an upgraded TB, but be easy enough to fab up a new one though, if you got a welder)

edit and btw: you might have to also extend the wires and hoses for the VSA tb, depending on how far out it moves (also intake might also have to be trimmed too IDK)

and i was talking about a "upgraded" tb (so even larger then just a bored out one) and not a bored out one

try:
http://www.powerrevracing.com/tbadapters.html

3rd one down, so RBC to Mustang TB Adapter
never said it would be a direct swap, would need a little fab work to mount the cables and such, but otherwise would be pretty simple to do though
(and this would be for the SH-AWD manifold, not the stock one)

^ Yup.

Has anyone installed the MDX spacer on their TL? If so, how many washer were used to lift the hood?

I've had mine on for 3 weeks and I had to use 18 washers on each post, so 72 in total! Plus I had to shave down top of the IM because the corner of it was hitting my hood and it made a dent and cracked the paint... Im waiting to install the 09 SHAWD IM so I can lower my hood and get it repainted...

Either onlinor a dealership is ur best bet. U can also use bmw bolts bc from what I know. Acura bolts are on backorder still. Search the 3rd gen tl side for a factory spacer thread. Last page or the 2nd to last page list the bmw bolts that u need.
