DIY: Installing Accord fog lights on 99-01 TL corner pocket

I had a thread about installing accord fog lights on 99-01 TL but somehow my pictures are gone. I wanted to edit the original thread, but I cannot be able to edit the old thread. Therefore, I'll just copy & pasted and will add the photos.
Here's original thread

Instruction: installing Accord Fog on 99-01 TL

Hello all members...
I've had lots of question about my Fog light. How much? What brand? How to install? Therefore, I deside to post an instruction how I installed my Accord fog.
Before we start, I want to tell you guys that this installation requires lot of modification and effort. And also, I want to tell you guys that this instruction is for your guide line only. It's totally up to you how you want your fog to be installed. Therefore, I am not resposble for any damage on your car or parts during installation whatsoever.

Brand: 01 Honda Accord OEM Fog kit
(Make sure to get 4 cyl kit. If you buy V6 accord kit, you need to get extra wire that our TL doesn't have.)

Price: I bought mine little more than $300, but honda accessory web site has it for $239(or you can even search ebay for less if you're lucky).
Honda-Accessories
ebay Accord fogs

Make sure to get the instruction on the wire. It's very simple w/instuction. Go to the dealer parts department(go to Honda, not Acura ) and beg them to give the instruction.

1. Putting the Fog trim to the bumper.
When you get the Accord fog kit, there are 2 black fog trim. That trim is used to mount the fog lens properly. You can also adjust the height of fog beam. So I recomend to use the trim.
First, Take out the front bumper cover and put it on the stand. Make sure not to scratch the bumper. Then cut out corner pocket opening using saw of knife(?) whatever you feel comfortable with. Make sure not to cut too much.. Always cut out little and put the trim on try to see it'll fit, if not cut it again. Do this until you have right fitting for your trim. This is kind of hard part.
Here's picture of back of the fog...

You can screw the trim from the front towards the back and put the black glue on top of it. That's how I did. Or you can just put bunch of glue around it. Either way, you should be able to attach the trim to the corner pocket.
Here is pic how I put 4 screw on my trim.

Then, you can put the fog lens onto the trim using the insturction you've got from the dealer(hope you did..)

2. Cutting the metal support out.
Now, you've done most difficult part.
Now to put the bumper back, you need to cut the support out because it won't fit. It looks like our TL is designed not to have fog on the corner pocket because there is no room for it on the back. So you have to make a room for the fog behind the bumper. Unfortunately, there is metal support(I think it's frame extension, don't know for sure...) right behind the corner pocket. You need to cut it out little to fit the fog.
Here is pic

3. Fog Wiring.
After that you're gonna do the wiring. Like I said first time, it's very simple if you have insturction. The fog will work as OEM just like 02 TL's. When you turn hight beam on, the fog turns off. (I think that's because it's illegal to have both high-beam & fog on at the sametime on some of the states.)
The only thing you're gonna think is the switch. Because the Accord Fog Kit will come with the switch that fits perfectly to our empty space, but it's black So, If you want to have perfect match, you should get INSPIRE switch from Tim. I've heard from the other members that 02 TLS fog switch will not fit because of wire fitting. Don't know for sure though...
Here is pic for my INSPIRE switch..

4. Finishing your job.
After you've done with the wiring, you should put the bumper back. Connec the wire to the fog and put the bumper back. Turn the fog lights on. You can adjust the height of the beam with the bolts on the trim. That's it!!
Here is more pic for my fog..

Again....If you're not really sure, I suggest not to do it. I really don't want to see any post that someone mess it up.

Good luck

I need something for my 03 TL fogs that will match the HID's as close as possible. I have tried 3 sets of bulbs so far, and no luck!

howd u wire it to the cabin through the firewall. where is an open port located?

fact: did you guys know its illegal to drive with ONLY fogs on in some states including california.

also, so did you basically buy the fog shown in the picture and removed the housing and only used the light itself?
