Has anyone else had experience with these warping in the sun?

I am on my second set of these things, and at $35 each side, its really starting to annoying me to have to replace them.

yeah i had mine replaced on warranty. it popped out the next week. mine is the warped dash, the vents are fine. they wouldn't change that at park ave acura in nj. im gonna try westchester acura in ny. i get so madd when i notice them.

When I had my 03TLP I had that problem. I believe it is a known issue. Had them replace under warranty.

I've noticed the part of the dash around the vents is wavy-looking....

My whole dash it moving out of where its supposed to be, the dash is about 1" of where its supposed to be glued.

Sorry to necromance a dead thread but there is alot of talk about this problem but I haven't heard of anyone fixing it.

ask the dealer if there is a `secret warranty` on the problem, acura does that a lot
also call 1-800 382 2238 x5, have VIN handy- register as owner and ask if any special extended warranty on the problem

or buy a Dashmat carpet cover and a heat reflective window screen and use it all the time when you park- makes a major temp differance inside --
plastic and heat not the best of friends

Thanks I'll give calling Acura a shot but since I have had the car for 9 years I'm not overly optimistic.

I was hoping someone had coming up with a fix similar to the door panels warping/peeling like this https://acurazine.com/forums/showt...ght=door+panel

I would assume the same thing would work but I would perfer not to have to remove the whole dash. I'm trying to think of a way to inject the glue upwards into the seperated area, and then how to clamp it.

in most respects the TL and CL are the same platform except the rear doors
The CL guys seem to be very innovative and their mods make it over here eventually

Just thought about it but as far as the dashmat idea how badly would that interfere with the airbag?

lol my dash is OK but i swear that i tought that the vents had that curves by OEM they are actually warped???? hahahahaha they seem fine to me the warped seems too asymmetric that i dont care of it, both sides look actually the same with the curves that looks like a nice little detail

my car was like that when I bought it, and the driver side defroster vent pops out on the left side. It's kind of annoying, but I just push it back down when it pops out... It also it peeling off a little bit on the seam right behind the defroster vents
