The death of another TL-S
As the title explains, there was another death in the TL family last week. I was sitting at a light and a moron rear ended me at 50 mph and pushed me into another car. To make things worse, he didn't have insurance and was also driving on a suspended lisence . I wasn't finished with what I wanted to do with it otherwise I would have posted other pics. I put an Injen CAI in it and have Rotora drilled and slotted rotors, both of which will be up for sale soon, be on the lookout in the black market. Might also have some HID kits, depends on what insurance lets me keep. Haven't decided which car I want to go with yet but I've got a few in mind.
Here are the pics:

Yikes- glad your okay.
My Mom got hit by a guy who crossed the center line and hit her drivers front at a combined speed of over 50 mph. Spun the car around 3 times as it bounced along the guard rail. Not a single panel of the car was left undamaged and the roof had a slight buckle. The front bulkhead was forced back on the tire and you could see the headlight (what was left of it) wedged under the master cylinder!
Air bags deployed and the seat belt kept her from any real injury.
Those 2nd Gen TL's are like tanks.
The passenger compartment was still intact. Heck all the doors still worked.
Oh, and I'll buy your wheels!

this is why you pay the extra for uninsured motorist!!
I dont have actual numbers, but seems like many crashes involve no licensia no insurance~

Firstly glad your OK
and definitely get yourself checked out, insurance should cover that.
and yea i got rear ended when i only had the car in the first few months by some girl who just learned to drive in her pontiac Grand Prix. She needed a whole new front bumper fender and wheel alignment, me? A new rear bumper only, fantastic!

Yeah I'm ok, I actually barely felt anything and didn't really realize what was happening until it was all over. Starting to feel it in my back now though so I am setting up an appointment just to make sure everything is ok. But yeah, as far as I know he didn't get arrested. He provided papers that said he had insurance but when my insurance company contacted his they said they dropped him for not making his payments so unless they got him later I have no idea. Otherwise I'd probably be in jail for beating the shit out of him. I'd try to keep the lights too but the driver side cover and some of the insides cracked and nobody really wants just one headlight lol. And yea, Injen CAI, Rotora drilled and slotted rotors, and hopefully the HID kits will be up for sale in the next few days. Anyone who has expressed interest will get a PM, otherwise they will go to the black market. All parts are about 1.5 years old or less.

Still don't have a new car right now, still in negotiations with the insurance company. They keep trying to lowball me. I think I'm going to have to threaten them with a lawyer.

wow thats a bad hit hope your okay! go get checked out quick you don't problems arising later. TLs definitely can take a beating pretty well... i got rear ended by and escalade on the freeway and basically just popped the snaps on the bumper back. the trunk was slightly off but somehow fixed itself..
I'd also be interested in the rotors or anything you can get your hands on so lemme know!

Glad to hear your are ok.
I have found that if you quickly find 3 other Acura cars
with similar miles and in the general area, the ins. co. can't argue with the basic cost to REPLACE what you had.
You are wanting REPLACEMENT value. They look at blue book value and try to pay that.
Get your game on and get your money.

I do have a question (I too am sorry for your loss, but glad you're not seriously injured):
-Since the other driver has been proven not to have insurance coverage after the fact, can the police get involved to charge him with driving on a suspended license as well as no insurance coverage? This jackass needs to be in front of a judge!
- The only problem I see potentially is that your insurance rates may go up based on your insurance paying (for your damages) for this asshat.
