Cruise Control

Help, my cruise control doesn't work anymore. The cruise light on the dash comes on when I press the button but it doesn't do anything. Also, I don't know where the cruise control motor is to check if any of the connection have come lose. Can someone please help me with this?

Thanks

The cruise control module is located directly behind the windshield washer fill tube. Also check to see if the cable is connected to the throttle body.

Look for your side Motor Mount its a black box installed in a "Y" shape cross bar.. It says "Honda" on top of it and it has a Cable that comes out from it then goes on top of the radiator then it turns on top of the air filter box and ends in the Throttle Body..

If yours isn't engaging even if the Cruise light comes on then you got to look if the motor isn't stuck or if the throttle cable isn't rusted..

Is the light coming on that says cruise engaged? If not then it's not receiving signal from the steering wheel control and you need to work on the steering wheel.

Hi guys and thanks for your help!! You helped me find the problem. The plastic thing that holds the throttle cable is broken. I don't know what it's called or where to find one. Does anyone know?

Sadly that isn't a replaceable Item only way to get it new is to buy the whole TB..

You can always DIY some temporary fix in any case if it lets go you will only lose Cruise again.

Thanks guys, I did get it to stay in temporarily. Maybe I'll look for a junked TL and try to remove that part from the throttle body.

Anyway, thanks for your help. Once again this site has kept me away from the stealership.

That's definitely your best bet. Little plastic piece like that would run you $5 bucks at a junk yard!
