Welcome to the forums.

Three threads in a row on the same topic are a bit much so I deleted 2 of them.

Be patient and you should get some help soon.

Your code is for a leak in the evap system not a part. There are 7 different parts in the evap system and hoses from front to rear. Your leak can be anywhere, so the only way to find it is to check the whole evap system. The chances of finding it through a forum is slim to none because you have to test each component.

Yep^^^^^^, im throwing the same exact code, and i found out my gas tank leaks! The leak is really noticeable when im near a full tank of gas. So check and smell around first before throwing parts.

See if you can get a Indy to do a smoke test on your car.

Could be a loose gas cap. Also take the gas cap off and check to see if it has a crack. Mine had a small crack in it which I never noticed until the mechanic saw it..

I had the code coming on last year and it was the purge solenoid. I changed that first and fortunately that was the culprit

I have same code, I also had the canister code.i think like the other poster said that you have to check each component of the system which there's a lot. Try lifting the r up and smell around. Also check the gas tank....I'm interested to see what others have to sy

Getting a smoke test, as has been suggested, is probably the best way to narrow down the part in your EVAP system. However, most of the time, it's your canister and/or valve. The parts are relatively inexpensive and it's not too difficult to change (other than one rusty screw that everyone gets), so when I had that code, that changed those parts and it solved the problem.

Here's the best thread on replacing those parts:

It should not effect the motor in anyway, but you might get lower fuel economy.
