Question

How about the center console light? I don't like the green light.

I was trying to figure that out as well. It appears you'll need to move the glove box out of the way first...then figure out how to remove that whole cover. haha. too much trouble just for bulb IMO.

This is why you all are supposed to help. It looks tough, but looks can be decieving, has anyone actually done it?

Also, the center console consists of many LED's and takes a TON of work to do. Nate did it though.

yay i finally get to help

i just did the glove box last weekend. first you have to take off the fuse cover. easy just pull it out. then open the glove box. around it you will see i believe 4 screw lining the box. remove those and you'll be able to pull the box out at an angle enough to replace the bulb.

with the consol i figured out that you can take the green filter off. but you still can't get to the bulb. so i gave up
i think the only way to get to that one is to remove the whole console.
if anyone knows a way to replace the console bulb without removing the whole console please do tell

All you have to do is take the little plastic circle cap off and pull the black cover out to get to the light. Then all you have to do is turn the plastic cap 90 degrees and pull then the bulb is there. Its a 2 minute job. It a real small bulb This goes for both the glove box and center console.

Sorry for reviving an ancient thread but I came around to replacing the glove box light with an LED to work on having an all LED interior. Here are some visual aids if anybody else is interested in doing the same thing to their TL.

Fuse panel also located here.

Best to change the cabin filters while doing all this work.

Sorry if it’s difficult to notice the difference as I did this during the day.
