Anyone know where the filter for the ventilation system is? Not time to change yet, but was wondering where it was and how easy to change.

Also, anyone know how much the part costs from Acura, and if there's one available elsewhere, like from a home air filter system? I'm going to do most/all maintenence on the car myself for fun and to save some bucks, as Acura charges a pretty penny to do easy work!

Have to remove the glove box and cut the plastic backing plate behind the glove box.
Should have two filters you can replace. Enjoy!!!

To replace filters you will have to remove the glovebox ,once this is done you must cut the support behind it (it is marked) .Save the portion cut out as it will reused.Now once the cut section is out you will see a plastic panel about 2 inches or so wide secured with one screw ,remove it .The filters are behind it.Install the new filters reinstall the cover.now take the previously cut section and rotate it 90 degrees it will now line up with slots in the surrounding plastic panel.You will notice there is some seemingly useless screws back there ,these are there so that the cut panel can be reattached to the frame of the dashboard.It sounds confusing but it is very easy to understand once you get in there.

Man, that's crazy having to cut out a panel. I guess I'll have to believe it, though, but it's sure hard to believe that's how it's set up...
