blue smoke from seafoaming

heeeellooo!

I ran the seafoam and I had a blue smoke coming out of my car instead of white or black as it was described by many of you here... is that normal? I heard that blue smoke means that the oil is burning? is it true?

thanks!

It may have really loosened up oil deposits and sludge. As long as it doesnt keep up afterwards your fine.

what he said....

Color of SMOKE:
blue: burning oil
black: car running rich
white: car running lean/
most likely not, but also a blown headgasket with oil & coolant mixing

Please tell us what year and mileage you have
Ever changed the spark plugs?
Do you have a current problem of burning oil?
Which methods for the seafoam- how much in each place
How long did it sit before restart and
Most important is doing the hard drive afterwards to clean everything out

And much of the white smoke is actually the seafoam solvent as it heats up
I have noticed some varying color in the mirror as I blast down the road- especially hitting vtec, and there are no probs with my engine.

thanks for replies guys!
I have an 02 TLS with 105k miles, never replaced the spark plugs, was planning on doing it after the seafoming.
I used 1/2 of seafoam through P.C.V. valve, and it set there for about 30min before I drove it. Then I started the engine, nothing came out, then I gunned it, and a lot of blue smoke started coming out for about 10 min. It does run smoother now, and no more smoke...

Thats normal, run another can thru at next oil change and make sure to run a can thru the gas tank as well.
Plugs are due NOW NGK Iridium is the preferred plug

My personal belief is that longer sitting time may not be as effective as the 5 minute sit the makers suggest. Keeping everything hot may be the ultimate answer to better cleaning

After treatment you MUST drive the car hard- like at 4000 rpm sustained to really super heat the crud and blow it out
Simply gunning the engine in the driveway does not do the trick
