Best Accelaration
I WAS WONDERING WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST WAY TO GET THE BEST ACCELARATION TIMES FROM MY 99 TL.NOW REMEMBER THAT MINE IS A 99 WHICH MEANS I HAVE THE 4 SPEED NOT THE 5 SPEED.SO SHOULD I KEEP IT IN D4 AND FLOOR IT OR SHOULD I PUT IT INTO SS AND DO THE SHIFTING .IF THAT'S THE CASE (WHEN AM I SUPPOSED TO CHANGE GEARS).PLEASE LET ME KNOW CAUSE MY FRIEND WITH HIS CELICA GT WANTS TO RACE ME AND I WANT TO MAKE SURE I GET A GOOD LAUNCH.THX FOR THE HELP.

Just wait, drink a little, then smile, slowly very slowly move your foot to the accelerator, but be careful you don't want to be too fast. After you have launch, you should be 10 cars ahead. J/K
Forget about SS, don't make a difference. Put your right foot on the acelerator slighty pressing it, while with your left hold the brake. When the light turns let go and punch the gas at the same time. That's my best advise for an automatic car. Good luck

Damn straight a celica cant touch you even if it is a gts. just relax nothing to it. Right foot on the gas and ease her away... bye bye celica
