Question Battery Light & Brake Light

The other day when I got in my car, within the first 5 minutes of driving my battery light and brake light (the one that tells you your parking brake is on) came on simultaneously. They'd stay on a couple seconds and go off but it stopped after about 5 minutes into the drive. I pulled over at a gas station to check things out and everything looked ok. I have a meter on battery that tells me how much juice it has and it stayed at 14.66 while running and when the fan kicked on it only dropped to 14.63, so I don't think it's an alternator problem. Anyone have any ideas what it could be? I'll check to see if the same thing happens today since I haven't driven it since then.

I haven't had the problem come back yet, so everything seems fine. Still not sure what it was though.

Stop by a parts store and get a free test of the battery an dalternator- you never know!
Some members have been getting Master Cylinder or MC cap sensor failure recently
Its time for calipers and more for many gen2rs who never changed the brake fluid or have 100-150k miles on the car

The light flickered again on the way home last night. I think it's a loose connection somewhere, the problem is gonna be trying to figure out where. I just don't know what would cause my battery light and my brake light to go on at the same time.

check the connections on your alternator, the brake light may not be an issue when your electrical problem is fixed. check your battery connectors and ground connections. it may not be the connectors, but the cable that is crimped onto the connectors.

I talked to my mechanic and he said that it was more than likely the alternator going bad. So I called my dealership (Priority Acura in Chesapeake, VA) and the service guy I normally talk to told me the same thing. He also said that the replacement alternator is VIN specific. I thought it was a weird part to be VIN specific but I'll look into that a little more. I may end up just getting one from Advance Auto Parts.

Does anyone know if the alternator in an 02 TL-S is supposed to be 105 amps or 120 amps? I've seen both listed. Or maybe where I can find this info.
