Anyone Replace a Negative Battery Cable?

Anyone Replace a Negative Battery Cable?
If so, any tips? I had an emergency battery installed two years ago at an out-of-state Sears Auto center. Today, my 2002 TL Type S went dead and when I checked the battery, I realized that the negative battery cable/post lock in size and looks a lot different than the positive cable/connector. Since I had the plastic cover over the battery, I never noticed this until now.
I'm thinking the techs at Sears either swapped out my cable or swapped out connector because I remember them telling me the original one was corroded. It looks really shoddy.
If it is the battery, I want to swap out the cable as well. Any instructional links or suggestions?
Thanks!

I replaced all the positive and ground power cables under the hood with custom cut 0-gauge stranded wire because the originals were corroded. I got some terminals and soldered them on with a blow torch.

You can buy premade cables at most auto parts stores. Take yours off and get the length and type to match what you need.

I dont have 0AWG but rather 2AWG Negative (Seems both are Overkill for my Setup Anyway) I just have 0AWG for the Alternator > Batt connection on the Big3.
Its really simple to replace the Negative side of the Battery there are just 2 cables going out of the Terminal;
1 for the Trans
2 for the Chasis (In front of Batt)
If your handy you can do the work for pretty darn cheap using Audio wire and accesories from a local Audio Shop.
