Anyone have a rear view camera hookup to there factory Navi Screen?
I have a factory navi system and been wanting to install a backup camera and wanted to see what module you all used and what type of camera.
Thanks in advance. |
It can be done. Wire in a camera and slpice power supply to activate with reverse lights, via reverse light wire... I'm nit sure of kits or details, but I hear it's failry simple...

Anyone know how to unlock the navi if the code dont work?
|
|
That dont work idk why I've tried it multiple times and nothing still locked
|
Just checking...Did you use the serial from the navi unit in the trunk?
I tried using the serial from the navi screen but that doesn't do anything; the lock is for the unit itself (in the trunk). |
If that website doesn't work its most likely that DVD unit you have in the trunk is not for that car. You need the exact vin of the vehicle that DVD unit came from. You could always try contacting Acura to see if they can assist.

Never thought about that I will try the unit in the trunk thanks guys I'll let you the outcome

Green connector and static noise
Just got my unit, I have a 2006 navigation TL. On my cars wiring harness there is this large green connector. On the navitech harness there is one plug that would fit this connector, but it would also fit directly into the port on the back of the unit. What's the deal with this connector? Also I am having a constant static sound over my speakers, how can I fix that?

i am very familiar with the plugs and pinouts, but i don't know what you'r easking. i do see that you have some carplay unit. are you replacing your navigation with this unit? or are you using it in tandem? it looks to me that there is a splitter so you can connect it to both the navi and the carplay? the static in your speakers is highly likely related to your work in the trunk, since the navi unit taps into your sound system to give directions and is also connected to the amplifier so that you can pause/play when they are given. in short: way too general of a question without enough detail on what the hell you're doing. |
Switch around the #8 connector (show in the image#5) and the connector from the OEM harness that plugs in directly into the unit.

Does anyone know if I can order a new harness for the Tesla screen?
