Any Relationship in these Electrical Failures

A few weeks ago, I rock broke the left fog light on my 2003 TL. Soon thereafter, we noticed the backlight on the clock failed, the power outlet below wouldn't work, and the backlights on the transmission shifter went out.

I checked the fuse for the clock, but didn't see any for the other problems. I forgot to pull the one for the foglights.

Could the broken foglight be the cause or could it be condensation from the A/C dripping behind the dash and shorting things out?

hmm, AC wont do it..did u check all the fuses? like the one under the hood?

since so many things are out it has to be a fuse, unless you've been splicing and dicing wires on your own.

g00d luck.

There is also a instrumental panel lights and I think the ACC is for the power outlet. I dont see any reason that the fog light would affect all the other items and if it does, i would totally be surprised. The wiring is seperate when I last checked the fog lights. Even if the bulb burned out there is no reason why it would affect all the internal stuff.

Sometimes a single fuse could control the damnedest odd combination of electrical parts on the car. For example, my friend blew a fuse on his Integra and the clock display, dome light, and the radio went out.

Did you check ALL fuses? There's a fusebox on the driver's side, on the passenger's side, and in the engine bay.

Agreed but I dont think it crosses at in this case. From memory of the diagram I am pretty sure they are independent for the most part. The backlight and the radio I believe are part of the ACC as well.
