Adjust the neutral safety switch/trans range switch?

I recently got my car (2002 TL-P) back from the shop for the AV6 swap and everything is shifting and running great. The only problem I have is that the gear indicator lights on the dash don’t illuminate unless the shifter is between gears. This means my reverse lights don’t come on in reverse and the car won’t go into tiptronic shift mode. Is there a way the switch can be adjusted or do I need to replace it with the used unit I bought?

It's been a while since I did my AV6 swap, but IIRC, the TL range switch gets swapped over to the AV6 and there is room for adjustment via the slotted bolt holes in the switch.

I’m assuming I need to take it apart to find the adjustments since all I see is the opening where the part coming off of the transmission goes in?

The attachment is from the CL Helms manual and it should not vary much for your TL-P.

Thanks for the link! I’ll try resetting everything in the neutral position and see how that goes.
