Acura tl brake light

So my brake light keeps coming on and the pedal is squishy. I keep putting fluid in so I know there is a leak and I found it dripping on the drivers side around where the front and back doors meet. Is that my main line that supplies the back brakes? I called auto zone and they needed to know the size of the line and the length i need but I can't find that info anywhere. What exactly do I need?

no one know what you need because we cant inspect the car over the internet......

you'll need to get under the car to see what is wrong.

if you could take pics of underneath the car pinpointing the leak, we could help you pinpoint what you need to replace....

I have no tools or anything to get under. I could take a picture from where I can see from getting on the ground. I'd have to drive to my in laws around 20 miles which isn't the safest at the moment.

Take it your nearby mechanic.

We can't assist you with troubleshooting over the internet, that function is in the year Model 2999+ Acura TL.

But yes it's pretty obvious there's a cut line. If you don't have tools to jack up your car, chances are you're not well equipped to fix this problem on your own. Take it to a professional.

the problem with diagnosing over the internet is that IT MIGHT NOT BE THE CORRECT DIAGNOSIS.

unless we have photos of what is leaking and where and how bad, we possibly cant figure out the problem.

if i was close to you, i'd help you out by inspecting it myself.....but that's not the case, unless you live in Houston, Texas.

If you know you have a brake leak and the brake pedal is going to the floor then you basically have no brakes or very little brakes. So DO NOT DRIVE IT Period. Either fix it where it's part or tow it to the shop.

I had this happen to me a few months ago, brake lines sprung a leak and the pedal went to the floor, had it towed to a shop to get new lines put in front to back for about $250 (Prices vary..)

This is probably where your leak is dripping from.. the brake and fuel lines run along the underside of the car on the drivers side.. you don't even have to jack the car up just lay down and take a look up..

It won't be safe to drive until it's fixed.

Absolutely NO driving -Every time you push the brakes some fluid goes out! forever!!
Are you refilling the res every day??
Have it towed to a brake shop- not a bs mechanic who never deals with this problem

Chances are you have a rust issue or failed connector/splitter on the line
If you put your camera on the ground and run it down the length of area- you will get a pic we can use! Set flash to ON please to light it up
Info on posting pics is at the top of thread list title- How to post pics

Note: if you crash, your insurance WILL find this thread and void your policy for driving with no brakes~
Hopefully a brake shop can cut out the offending section of metal tube- cut and install a new section with the correct flared ends and capture fittings

Your red dash brake warning is probably when the fluid level drops so low it triggers that sliding sensor on the cap
Are you getting any yellow CEL on dash?
