Acura 1999 3.2TL lowbeam bulb replacement on driver side
Hi guys, I've been searching the forum for how to do that. I changed the one on passanger side today. It's pretty easy. But it is really hard to replace the one on driver side. I did remove the cover and unlock the black houseing. But I cannot take the black housing out. There is no enough room to do that. There is an air intake tube in the way. I even removed the battery, but still didn't work out. Did any one ever do that on 1999 TL 3.2 or any suggestion. Thanks a lot

There's no need to remove the battery. There are two plastic vent parts that will pull up and out on the driver's side. Once you have those out, you'll have the room you need.
If I recall correctly, there's at least one plastic "pin lock" on one of the vent pieces. You'll have to pull that back before the vent piece pulls out. But you don't need any tools.

I think it's the vent part I cannot pull out. i didn't notice there are any "pin lock". I was just trying hard to pull it right out, but didn't succeed. I'll try to find the pin lock tomorrow. Thanks a lot

Here's another thread where I posted some installation tips:

On the driver side you'll want to pull a couple of vent pieces up and out. No tools are needed but look for a couple of push fittings on the upper vent piece before you lift up on it.
Good Luck!

on the above link you said "The small vent piece below the can just be pulled up and out. " Should I just try harder? I will take a pic later to clear the confusion if there is any. Thanks a lot.

Yes, my post in the thread you linked has more detail.
Once I pulled those pins back, the pieces came off with a little wiggling back and forth along with some pulling. IIRC, it did not require too much force.
Perhaps another forum member that has done this more recently can give you some more details.
