99 TL rough idle after motor swap

Hello,

I swapped the motor due to the old one ceasing for unknown(to me) reason. Everything is done before swapping the replacement motor in, timing belt, water pump, idler pulley, tensioner, new spark plugs. So it started just fine but after a few seconds it started to idle rough. After a while it stays at 1500 rpm bouncing slightly and TCS light comes on. Any help would be appreciated!

video of the problem is attached.

Thank you!

You need a new Idle Air Control Valve or try cleaning it.

Are you sure all the vacuum hoses were put on the manifold.

try cleaning it again, if that doesn't work you might need a new one

Yes. all hoses are secured tight. I might just replace it and report back. i don't know what else to look for. I'm looking up the idle relearn deal, but haven't found a definitive steps yet.

Start the car and spray carb cleaner around gasket areas. If the idle stabilizes then you've found a gasket leak.

If you still have your old engine I suggest reusing the IACV from there, also a good idea to keep the coils and other parts that can still be reused.

Erickua5 - I still have the old IACV but it was throwing code with the old engine so i doubt it will work with this engine but i will give it a go. i will also try the spray carb cleaner deal. thanks.
