Post 99 acura 3.2 tl help please

Hey guys, I'm new on here and just looking for some general information regarding what I can to do mod my engine or add a cold air intake. Most things I have no clue what I'm trying to do and what I'm even looking at, but I'm trying to learn and really want to make this car my dream car. So any help is greatly appreciated, I've seen things from bypassing intake resonator and deleting mid section of the exaughst, but I dont know what I'm doing or what really helps add the HP sound and feel I'm looking for in my car.

Welcome to the forums.

This thread has been moved from the Fourth Generation TL (2009-2014) > 4G TL Performance Parts & Modifications forum to the model specific forum for better response.

There are tons of threads on here that will answer any and all questions you have in regards to mods. Read through them and see which ones sound good to you

I'd start with a CAI. It's simple to install yourself, and will give you a better sounding engine. If you like it, you can go from there.

If you're completely inexperienced with working on cars, then a CAI install will be easy and educational. You can ask here if you need help.

My only problem with a CAI is i dont know which ones will fit because the filter had the resonator in it and I dont exactly know how to bypass it. And I've looked through threads and looked for anything I could that would help me and be vehicle specific but so far I never find anything for moding a 99 and every time I google things its never my year its always like 02 and up

Any resonator would just get removed. I think the 99TL had a stupid air warmer or something. You could just bypass the coolant lines for that.

You get rid of all stock intake plumbing with a CAI so there is no need to figure out anything with resonators or anything.
