7.5 years of ownership...
Well, as of 4/15/2010, I hit tripple digits...
I need to get my 105K service done. Do you guys think $675 with parts and labor a good deal? I just slapped bills on new tires, brakes, steering fluid, brake fluid, and radiator fluid...

lol yeah. it took awhile but it has now hit the mark. 105k service is something I have to do because i'm going to be keeping the car for another 7+years. My plan was this summer sell her and pick up a 3G TL. But my high chances is keeping the car and giving it to my sister and pick up a 3G. Plus, it hurts to let go of my 2G TL because it was my first car...

its a great price but what exactly does it include- get it in writing !!
probably not more than the belts and pump- with extra for the much needed tensioner and pulley if you want it to go past another 50k before those break and destroy the engine from tbelt failure
100 bucks now saves 2 thousand later

My 2000 TL is closing in on 102K miles. My friend and I are going to do the 105K service within the next couple weeks. Well I'm going to assist him since he's the experienced mechanic. I'm more of a maintenance and simple repairs kind of guy.

My 00 tl is just about to hit 168,000 miles. Ive been driving it for the past 2 years and my parents had it for the other 8 years...
You do not need to do the 105k service right away if you are in a money crunch fyi, but do it sooner rather than later

10 years 168kmiles?!?! better get that done soon
A certain wife, before my time, went to 175 on an integra belt with low years, but that didnt stop the belt from shredding and -same as a TL- interferance engine- bang! bend stop... goes the engine
age seems to be the real issue on the TL, loss of ozone layer eats rubber

all moving rubbers deteriorate at a certain point, age, wear and tear, heat and cold all factor in...the timing belt keeps stretching over time with the tensioner pushing against it, and starts to crack and wear overtime...imo the timing belt is more about age rather than mileage
