3g coilovers on a 2g ?

I have an opportunity to buy some lightly used coilovers from a 3g tl would they fit my 2g Type-S?

No, different mounting points.
This is why "opportunities" are not really opportunities...

And why people get bad deals especially with wheels because they had the "opportunity"

I also bought wheels 2nd hand from a 3g for 100 with tires and that was a great "opportunity"

I was speaking mostly about aftermarket wheels, people go in blind thinking they will fit because they had the opportunity.
After plunking down the money is when they find out they don't fit

You're lucky that Honda wheels mostly have the same bolt pattern, bore, and offset.
Most people aren't that lucky and come here to gripe about the horrible deal they just got

Yeah its sitting on truhart struts and springs bit the front struts are blown.
Might just replace the front struts

Are 2g and 3g TL struts the same?

My buddy has a brand new pair of front struts he will give me for free that he bought for his 06 base model TL.

Rough crowd. Lmao but if you change the top hat from your 2nd to the 3rd gen tl. Mounting points match up. Boommm bet it works. 😏😏😏 i think my buddy denroy was telling me it should work. Havent tried it yet but def curious if itll work.
