Basically, I am trying to replace my engine and put in a new one and i want to know what are the require steps and how to rewire the electrical wiring?

Welcome 02_TL_S !!!
Do ya have any previous hands on experience with this type of project ?
The best resource is the "Factory Service Manual" which can be downloaded.

If its a direct engine swap nothing needs to be redone wiring wise. Unhook wire harness from ecu, pull thru firewall, Pull your engine out swap wiring over and reinstall. What's wrong with your motor that you want to swap?

Thanks guys and I really appreciated the info! My engine still run pretty good, but it has over
218k on it and I’m worry that one of these day it might die on me. If that happen I want to be prepare and be able to replace the engine myself.

As long as ya keep up with the recommended "PM".....these 3.2 motors will last indefinitely.
Just make sure that the T-belt servicing, cooling system, oil, and basic cleaning of TB intake is performed as required. They won't die unless ya neglect or abuse them !!!

218k is just a reference number on maintenance items like oil, timing belt etc.. these engines can go on forever.
Like 3.2TLc mentioned keep up with the recommended "PM" and you should be ok.

We have a member on here that has logged an estimated 600,000 miles on his. But if you read the 200,000 mile+ thread there are more than plenty of people with there engines holding up, better than the trannys.
