I saw a ILX TLX RLX today. It was backed into a spot and all I saw was the front. The only thing that gave clue to which "kind of thrill" it was, was the double row of led headlights.

so well engineered that there was a recall on the initial jewel eyes because they were acting as magnifying glasses when the sun hit it just right and burned the interior reflective surface of the headlights

he problem stems from an issue with the aluminum film that's glued to the headlight's inner reflector. Over time, that film may detach from the light, reducing the headlamp's output and increasing the possibility of a crash, especially at night. (It's not entirely clear whether the root of the problem is the film itself, the adhesive applied to it, or the manufacturing process used by the supplier, Stanley Electric Co., Ltd.)
