Is a 2003 Type S worth buying?

I'm currently a proud owner of a 2008 TLS 6MT and I love this car. I also really love the look of the 2G TLS but after reading through this forum for only a couple hours it's hard for find anything positive about the car. I'd like to buy one but is it worth my time?

Swap the engine and tranny over from the 3G to the 2G

I have both and enjoy the car and find it a very nice vehicle. Other than the potential for transmission issues which I am ok about what other issues are making you run?

I love my 2002 TLS. It’s been great. I just had a tranny failure about 5,000 miles ago. Otherwise, the paint has held up great, and it drives nicely. Not sure why you can’t find positive things online about it.
