Unhappy 2002 Acura TL Type S Transmission Issues

I recently purchased a 2002 Acura Tl Type S with 48,000 miles on it. I've heard several reports of transmission problems which is why I am assuming Acura has increased it's transmission warranty to 105,000 miles. Does anyone know what kind of transmission problems they are so I know what to look for? I have noticed that the car pulls back when not accerating even downhill. I was assuming the auto transmission works like a standard in that respect and will not let the car coast. Could there be a possible problem? My previous car was a Buick so not much to compare it to. Any help is appreciated.

The "pulling back" down hill is Acura's "Grade-Logic" for the transmission and is normal behavior. The transmission problem has to do with the 3rd gear bearings and clutch pack not being able to handle the torque/horsepower. Symptoms of this tranny problem are most prevelant when shifting from 2->3, the tranny may "flair" and rev 500-1500 RPM above where it was before it drops into the next gear. The flair gets more pronounced and the engine will rev longer between shifts as the failure gets worse.
