I recently purchased a 2002 tl from a family friend. When I took it to the shop to get it serviced I noticed on the paperwork it had turbocharger seals replaced with the gasket. Does this mean the owner had installed a turbo kit on the car?

if the car is fast, we're talking about.....Porsche 911 fast....then yes.


if the car moves like a 4 door family car with a v6, then no.
sadly, i dont think you have a turbo charger.....

does it have a long bar in the front of the engine and the end is attached to a belt? if yes..supercharger.. if no..nada..he's pulling ur leg..

but but, no one mentioned a super.....
and I dont think any one is pulling any ones leg....

just a receipt that says turbocharger seals.
which could just be a typo....for seals.

he would have known if he had a turbo or not.

these J series engines respond well to turbos and make well over 400hp.
thats enough to take on exotics.

plus, you will need to monitor vital stats, like air fuel ratio and knock...if there isnt anything in the cabin to tell you of this important feedback, he probably doesnt have a turbo
